- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar (white)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. oat flakes (quick-cooking)
- 1 (10 oz.) jar or 3/4 c. raspberry jam
- 1/4 c. almonds, chopped
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl.

2Stir in both sugars. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

3Stir in oat flakes. Press about 2/3 of mixture on bottom of a lightly greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

4Spread preserves over this.

5Add almonds to remaining mixture and sprinkle over preserves.

6Pat down.

7Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden.

8Cool.
