- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. uncooked farina
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 sticks butter, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 5 eggs, separated
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Beat egg whites (room temperature) until stiff.

2In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar 5 minutes on medium speed.

3Add egg yolks.

4Beat 5 minutes more until light and fluffy.

5On low speed alternately beat in flour mixture with milk and vanilla mixture, blending until smooth. Blend in egg whites, beaten stiff. Add 3/4 cup nuts. Divide in two 9 x 9-inch pans or one oblong 10 x 15-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until done.
