  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. half and half
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. raw apples (Golden Delicious)
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

  1. 1
    Beat together sugar, eggs, oil, vanilla and half and half. Stir together remaining ingredients and add to the first mixture. Bake 1 1/4 hours or until done in a well-greased tube pan in a 325° oven.

    Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.

    Pour hot icing over cake.
