- 1 qt. fresh fruit
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water + 2 Tbsp.
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- whipped cream or ice cream
Directions

1Put fruit filling in a 9-inch baked pie shell.

2Cover with the following syrup:

3Crush 1 cup fruit very fine.

4Heat sugar with 1/2 cup water until sugar is dissolved.

5Add to the crushed fruit. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water.

6Make a smooth paste and add to the strained mixture.

7Cook until thick.

8Cool slightly; pour over fruit.

9Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
