- 5 lb. ham
- cider (to cover)
- 20 whole cloves
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. mustard
Directions

1Cover the ham with cold water and bring slowly to boil; throw out the water.

2Replace with cider to cover ham.

3Bring to boil over low heat; keep it barely simmering 20 minutes per pound. Skin it and score fat in a diamond pattern; stud with whole cloves.

4Mix the mustard and brown sugar; rub well into ham.

5Bake another 10 minutes in a 400° oven.
