Ingredients
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf Italian bread, cut lengthwise
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/3 c. olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced scallions
- 1 small tomato, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 500°.

2Place bread, cut side up, on baking sheet.

3Set aside.

4In small bowl, mix together the garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper; drizzle mixture over sliced bread.

5Sprinkle bread with scallions and tomatoes, then top with cheese.

6Bake in upper half of oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese melts and edges of bread brown.

7Cut into 1-inch pieces and serve.
