- 1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix (not butter recipe) *
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. red food coloring
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat together cake mix, water and eggs.

2Add red food coloring, cocoa, oil and vanilla.

3Beat well, then add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar.

4Fold into cake batter after it stops foaming.

5Put in greased and floured 9 x 12-inch cake pan.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done.
