- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 to 2 cans water
- 2 onions, chopped fine
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 tsp. sugar
- 4 strips bacon, chopped
- 8 Tbsp. bacon grease
- 2 c. raw rice
Directions

1Fry bacon. Remove from pan.

2Saute onions in grease.

3Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper and sugar.

4Cook uncovered slowly for about 10 minutes until mixture measures two cups. Then add it to rice.

5Add the 1/2 cup of additional bacon grease. Cook for 1/2 hour on low with cover.

6Add bacon, crumbled, and stir with fork.
