  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice

Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 7 to 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
