Ingredients

  • 1/2 of a 28 oz can of crushed tomato stewed tomato or tomato puree
  • 1/2 of a 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic (more if desired)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon olive oil
  • Basil, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons of beef broth

    1. Crush garlic with the side of a knife and mince

    2. Add olive oil to a sauce pot turned on medium-low heat. Add the garlic and gently saute.

    3. Lightly cook garlic until it starts to change color
  4. 4
    4. Don't over cook the garlic, as it will turn bitter if left too long.

    5. Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Add spices to taste.

    6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer. Stir occasionally as it cooks.

    7. Add more spices if desired.
