- 2/3 c. cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 oz. red food coloring
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Mix together first 5 ingredients.

3Add alternately to mixture the flour and buttermilk.

4Stir in food coloring.

5Stir together vinegar and soda.

6When mixture stops foaming, add to batter and mix in well.

7Pour batter into cake pans and bake until done, about 30 minutes.
