- 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 oz. red food coloring
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°. Mix oil, sugar and eggs for 2 minutes. Add flour and milk alternately. Add vanilla and coloring. Pour into greased and floured pans. Makes 3 layers. Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely before icing.
