  • 3 -4 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
  • 14 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 13 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh minced ginger
  • 13 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

    Over medium-high heat, start a rue by wisking together the olive oil and flour in a medium pot.

    rue should be somewhat moist and not cakey.

    Add a splash of red wine and stir vigorously.

    Continue stirring and blending the rue with the wine - continue adding wine.

    When you have a stable mixture, stir in soy sauce, ginger, oregano, and brown sugar.

    Add chicken and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring and adding wine as needed every 10 minutes.
