- 2 c. semi-sweet morsels
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. applesauce
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/3 c. chopped nuts
- 3 egg whites
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Melt one cup morsels, sugar, applesauce and margarine in large saucepan over low heat until smooth. Remove pan from heat; add egg whites and stir well.

3Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla.

4Stir in remaining morsels and nuts.

5Spread mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 16 to 20 minutes.

6Cool and cut in squares.
