Refrigerated Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 small to medium cabbage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Shred or slice cabbage (thin); chop up onion and green pepper. Add vinegar and sugar.

    Stir well and place in refrigerator overnight.

    Chop up tomato and add and stir.
  4. 4
    Taste to see if you need to add salt.

    Add a dash or two of coarse black pepper.

    I also add 2 teaspoons mustard seed.

    It gives it a great taste. Put slaw in a container that will seal.

    Turn upside down in refrigerator.

    Pour off liquid before serving.

    If needed add more sugar and vinegar.
