- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
- 1/3 c. Karo
- 1 c. chopped nuts, coconut or raisins (optional)
Directions

1Combine milk and sugar in a heavy saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.

3Turn heat low. Cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

4Remove from heat, immediately add chocolate bits, Karo, butter and vanilla.

5Stir until chocolate melts and fudge is smooth and creamy.

6Stir in nuts.

7Mix well.

8Pour into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and chill in refrigerator 1 to 2 hours.

9Cut into squares.

10Makes about 2 1/2 pounds.

11Keep in refrigerator until used.
