- 2 c. 100% bran cereal
- 2 c. boiling water
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 5 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. All-Bran cereal
Directions

1Combine 100% bran and water in a large bowl and set aside. In another large bowl, cream the sugar, shortening and eggs, using electric mixer.

2Beat in remaining ingredients.

3Stir in bran and water mixture.

4Store in refrigerator in tightly covered container.

5Mixture will keep up to 6 weeks.
