- 4 c. sugar
- 4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. canning salt
- 1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
- 2 or 3 onions, peeled and sliced thin
- cucumbers, sliced thin (enough for 1 gal.; wash cucumbers)
Directions

1Mix sugar, vinegar and spices together; pour over cucumbers. Put in refrigerator.

2Do not heat vinegar and spices.

3Takes from 4 to 6 weeks to be good.

4Keep in refrigerator.

5Pack pickles and onions in gallon jar.

6This is enough for 1 gallon.
