- 1 envelope active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 1/2 c. presifted flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Cover and let stand.

3In mixing bowl, combine salt, sugar, shortening and boiling water.

4Cool to warm.

5Stir in yeast, egg and flour.

6Beat well.
-
7Refrigerate until ready to use (2 hours or more).

8About 1 1/2 hours before baking, grease baking sheet.

9Roll out dough on lightly floured board.

10Shape into rolls.

11Place on baking sheet.

12Cover with towel and let rise until doubled in bulk.

13Preheat oven to 425°. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
