Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 2/3 c. melted shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 10 to 11 c. flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in water with 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Add cooled milk (lukewarm), shortening, 3/4 cup sugar and salt.

3Add eggs, well beaten.

4Add flour to make soft dough.

5Let stand 10 minutes. Knead lightly on floured board.

6Flour surface of dough until smooth and elastic.

7Place in greased bowl.

8Grease lid and cover. Store in refrigerator as long as you wish.

9Bring from refrigerator about 2 hours before you shape into rolls.

10Let rise until double in bulk.

11Bake in hot oven at 400° to 425° for 15 to 20 minutes.

12Punch down unused dough and return to fridge.
