Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 pkg. yeast (dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water)
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour

Directions

    Cream shortening, sugar, salt and eggs.

    Add cold and boiling water, 2 cups flour and yeast mixture.

    Beat well, then gradually add remaining flour until well mixed.

    Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate.

    Use as needed.

    Butter muffin pan, shape and let rise in pan.

    Bake at 400° until brown.

    Rolls will keep up to two weeks.
