Chocolate 'N' Oat Bars

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk, not evaporated
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar and margarine, mix well.

    Reserving 1/2 cup oats mixture, press remainder on bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Bake 10 minutes. Pour milk over crust; sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips.

    Top with oat mixture; press down firmly.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown; cool.

    Cut into bars, store covered at room temperature.
