Ingredients
- 3/4 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. Fleischmann's margarine
- 1 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 2 pkg. or cakes Fleischmann's yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 5 1/4 c. unsifted flour (about)
Directions

1Mix together hot water, sugar, salt and margarine.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Measure warm water into large warm bowl.

4Sprinkle or crumble in yeast.

5Stir until dissolved.

6Stir in lukewarm water mixture, egg and half the flour; beat until smooth.

7Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough.

8Turn out onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.

9Place dough in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover tightly with waxed paper.

10Store in refrigerator until double in bulk, or until needed.

11To use, punch down and cut off amount needed.

12Shape as desired.

13Let rise 1 hour.

14Bake at 400° for about 15 to 20 minutes.
