Refrigerator Rolls(Yeast Bread)

Ingredients
- 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Soften yeast in lukewarm water.

2Pour hot water over sugar, salt and shortening.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and mix thoroughly.

5Stir in softened yeast, half of remaining flour and egg.

6Beat thoroughly.

7Add enough flour to form a soft dough.

8Turn out on a lightly floured board.

9Let rest 5 to 10 minutes.

10Knead until smooth and elastic.

11Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top.

12Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

13Punch down.

14Grease top.

15Cover with damp towel and refrigerate.

16When ready to bake, shape into rolls and place in well-greased pan.

17Let rise until doubled.

18Bake in hot oven (425°) for 10 to 12 minutes.
