Ingredients

  • 1 peck green tomatoes, ground
  • 8 green bell peppers, ground
  • 4 red bell peppers, ground
  • 3 c. ground onions
  • 2 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. mustard seed
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 7 c. vinegar
  • 8 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

Directions

    Rather than grind the first four items, these can be put through a food processor.

    However, chop the celery very fine. Combine everything in large kettle.

    Bring to full rolling boil over high heat.

    Pack in canning jars, cap with sterilized lids. Set aside until cool.

    Check to see if they seal.

    If any jars are not, open, reheat and cap again with new lid.

    Will keep 2 years on shelf, away from sun.
