  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. salad oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. each: salt, soda and vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. fresh rhubarb, diced
  • 1/2 c. nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Mix in order given.

    Pour into greased loaf pans.

    Sprinkle top with mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon butter.

    Bake at 325° for 60 minutes.

    Do not overbake.
