- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. diced fine rhubarb
Directions

1Cream together the shortening, packed brown sugar and egg. Mix flour, sour milk or buttermilk and vanilla in separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture.

2Fold in rhubarb.

3Bake at 325° in 13 x 8-inch pan for 50 minutes.
