- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 scant salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sour milk
- 2 c. rhubarb, chopped and floured
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Cream the 1 1/2 cups sugar with shortening.

2Add eggs and beat.

3Sift dry ingredients into mixture, alternating with sour milk.

4Beat. Add vanilla and floured rhubarb, mix well.

5Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Mix 1/2 cup sugar, butter and cinnamon; sprinkle over batter.

7Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
