  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. cut raw rhubarb
