- 2/3 c. liquid shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sour milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Sift ingredients together in order given.

2Pour into 2 well-greased and floured loaf pans.

3Fill 2/3 full. Spread evenly over each.

4Bake in a 350° oven for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
