  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 8 slices bread, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 lb. rhubarb, cut in 1/4-inch slices

Directions

    Mix milk, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla.

    Mix in bread cubes. Beat egg whites; fold into mixture.

    Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.

    Bake at 350° for about 50 minutes.
