  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked instant rice
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chilies (undrained)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c. American cheese, shredded

Directions

    Cook rice according to directions on box. In a bowl, combine the cooked rice, sour cream, soup, chilies and salt. Stir to blend. In a buttered 13 x 9-inch dish, pour half of the rice mixture. Combine the cheeses and sprinkle half the cheese over the rice. Repeat the layers. Cover and bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.
