Ingredients
- 1 lb. medium hot sausage
- 1 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. raw rice (not Minute rice)
- 4 1/2 c. water
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 pkg. Lipton chicken soup (not Cup-a-Soup)
- 1 large can mushrooms with juice
Directions

1Fry sausage.

2Remove sausage and leave grease in pan.

3Add margarine.

4Saute pepper and onion until tender.

5Add mushrooms and liquid and cook 5 minutes.

6In a saucepan, bring 4 1/2 cups of water to a boil and add soup mix and rice.

7Cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

8Add vegetables and sausage; mix well.

9Put into a casserole or crock-pot to keep hot.
