- 4 to 6 slices bacon
- 1 large onion
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. beef consomme
- 1 to 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. rice
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry bacon until almost crispy; drain grease.

2Add onion and bell pepper and fry until soft.

3In casserole dish, add beef consomme, water, sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

4Add bacon, onion, bell pepper and rice; stir.

5Cook at 350° for 30 minutes or until rice is done.

6Bacon and bell pepper will rise to the top.
