Rice Dressing Supreme

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 qt. clear chicken or turkey stock
  • 2 c. long grain rice
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 3/4 c. diced onions
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Accent
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 c. mushroom pieces and juice

Directions

    Heat chicken broth to boiling point; season with 1 teaspoon of salt.

    Add the rice and stir until it boils up once; lower flame, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Saute the onions and celery in margarine until clear.

    Add mushrooms and seasonings and combine with rice when it has finished steaming.

    Serve very hot.
