Rice Meat Balls

- 1 c. precooked rice
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 tsp. grated onion
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. marjoram
- dash of pepper
- 2 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine rice with beef, egg, onion, salt, marjoram, pepper and 1/2 cup of tomato juice.

2Mix lightly.

3Shape mixture into 18 balls and place in deep skillet.

4Add sugar to remaining 2 cups of tomato juice.

5Pour juice over meat balls in skillet.

6Bring mixture to a boil.

7Reduce heat.

8Simmer, covered, 25 minutes, basting occasionally.
