- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 (10 oz.) cans beef consomme, undiluted
- 1 soup can water
- 1 1/2 c. regular long-grain rice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Wash wild rice and add to 2 cups salted boiling water.

2Cover and reduce heat.

3Cook until tender, stirring occasionally.

4(This may take as long as 1 1/2 hours; start checking after one hour.)
