Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cubes oleo
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 c. long grain rice, washed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 or 2 (8 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms in juice
  • 3 cans beef consomme

Directions

    Melt oleo; add washed rice and rest of ingredients except consomme.

    Simmer approximately 20 minutes.

    Add 2 cans of consomme and cook, covered, 1 hour at 350° in oven.

    Look at, after 45 minutes, for dryness; if dry, add last can of consomme and finish cooking.
