Rice Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 c. rice
  • 1 c. wild rice
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sage
  • 1 Tbsp. ground parsley
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 large can or bottle chopped mushrooms

Directions

    Crumble sausage and hamburger.

    Add chopped onion, celery, salt, sage and parsley.

    Saute in large skillet or roaster until all are well cooked.

    Add rice, mushrooms and chicken broth.

    Add enough water to steam rice until well done.

    Cook on low heat; stir occasionally and add more poultry seasoning to your taste. This will serve 12 to 15.
