- 2 c. rice
- 1 (16 oz.) can green peas
- 1/4 lb. cooking ham, diced
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 envelope Sazon
- 4 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 c. water
Directions

1Fry the ham for 3 to 5 minutes in the oil.

2Add onion, green pepper, garlic, Sazon and the salt.

3Cook for 10 minutes.

4Add peas and 4 cups of water.

5Let it come to a boil.

6Add the rice; stir it.

7Leave the rice uncovered until all the water is almost absorbed, then cover for 10 minutes.

8Serves 6 to 8.
