- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. 2% milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan; stir in milk.

2Cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.

3Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4Stir about 1/2 cup milk mixture into egg yolks.

5Stir egg yolk mixture back into saucepan.

6Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute (and no longer), stirring constantly.

7Stir in vanilla.

8Spoon into dessert bowls.

9Refrigerate, covered, with plastic wrap, until chilled, 1 to 2 hours.
