- 1 1/2 c. syrup
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. broken pecan halves
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Directions

1Combine syrup, margarine and sugar in saucepan.

2Bring to a boil.

3Boil gently for 5 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.

4Cool slightly.

5Place pecans in pie shell.

6Mix eggs, vanilla and salt in a bowl.

7Gradually stir in cooled syrup mixture.

8Pour over pecans and the pie shell.

9Place in preheated 375° oven.

10Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

11Cool on wire rack.
