- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk in small saucepan over medium heat.

2Stir in sugar, salt and margarine.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Measure warm water into large bowl that can be covered.

5Stir in yeast until dissolved. Stir in cooled milk mixture, beaten egg and half the flour.

6Beat by hand until smooth.

7Stir in remaining flour and beat until smooth.

8Batter will be stiff.

9Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

10Dough may be kept for up to 3 days.

11Use for tea rings, dinner rolls or sweet rolls.
