- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 cake yeast
- 3/4 c. sweet milk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together.

3Dissolve the yeast in 1 tablespoon warm water.

4Put all liquids in dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly.

5Turn out on floured board.
