  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. ReaLemon juice
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix sugar, flour, melted butter and lemon extract until smooth.

    Add eggs, one at a time and beat.

    Then add buttermilk and mix until creamy.

    Pour into deep 9-inch unbaked pastry shell. Cook 10 to 15 minutes at 450° (until set).

    Reduce heat and finish baking at 300° until knife comes clean when tested (about 45 minutes).

    Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
