Ingredients
- 4 whole heads of garlic
- 4 ounces extra virgin olive oil
- kosher salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 4 whole fresh thyme sprigs, cut in half
Directions

1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

2Cut the top 1/4 off the garlic.

3Place in ovenproof dish just large enough to hold the 4 heads of garlic.

4Generously brush the top of the garlic with olive oil.

5Pour the remaining oil into the bottom of the dish.

6Cris-Cross the thyme over the top of the garlic.

7Season lightly with kosher salt.

8Cover the dish and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

9Remove the cover and put back into the oven until golden.

10About 20 minutes.

11Spread the warm garlic over crusty bread.

12Use the remaining warm oil for dipping.
