- 1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper (optional)

1Use flat plan like roasting pan or flat casserole dish.

2Use medium yellow onions.

3If there is soil on onions, wipe off gently. Do not take off skins.

4Take 7 or 8 onions root ends off slightly so onions can stand up in pan.

5Cut other ends a little.

6Stand onions in pan in rows in one layer.
