Rock Candy

Directions

   Boil water and food coloring.

   Add sugar to boiling water, stir always for 10 to 15 minutes.

   Remove from heat and cool for 1/2 hour, stirring sometimes.

   When cooled, pour into glass 1/2-inch from top.

   Put wooden stick (popsicle stick is fine) in solution. Place glass in safe place to allow the crystal candy to grow.

   It takes about 1 week for candy to be ready to eat.

   Run hot water over outside of glass to loosen.

   Pull out and eat.
