- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt.

2Add buttermilk and mix lightly with a fork.

3Turn out on a floured board or pastry cloth.

4Knead lightly 4 or 5 times.

5Roll or pat out to 1/4-inch thick; cut into rectangles 1 x 3-inch with a floured knife.

6Drop into boiling stew.

7Cover and boil gently 10 to 12 minutes.

8Do not uncover while cooking.
