  • 7/8 cup softened butter not very liquid
  • 5 5/8 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 3/4 cups plain flour
  • guava paste

    Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

    Mix the egg with the softened butter and the sugar.

    Gradually, add the flour, until obtaining the desired texture (it must disengage well from the hands and get a little brittle).

    Cut small circles of dough, using the lid of a jar.

    Place a strip of guava paste in the middle, and close, sealing the edges well.

    Bake on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil for about 15 minutes, or until the dough starts getting brown.
